What to Expect?

Would you like to experience the beautiful bay and views of Tallinn from the sea, paddling in a good sea kayak into the sunset? We start from the mouth of Pirita river and kayak ca 8 km to the beach of Haabneeme in Viimsi.

We have dry suits and water shoes, so even if the weather is chilly and somebody fears getting wet then we can guarantee dryness. Thanks to the dry suits it is possible to come even if you only have a dress or work clothes.

If the sea is calm then this trip is doable also for beginners. If it`s too windy then the kayak tour will take place on the picturesque river, starting and finishing at the same location.

Coming by car:
As a rule, we let the participants take their cars to the ending point and take a Bolt or bus or another car back to the start, so after finishing the trip, it is possible to get into the car comfortably without delay.

Coming by bus:
Take the bus nr 1, 8, 38 or 34 from or by the Viru terminal in the centre and get off at the stop called Rummu. The meeting point is only 300m from the stop.

Coming by taxi:
The meeting point is by the river behind the Pirita Tervisespordi Maja and velodrome.

Price and Group Size

Price per participant – €50. Group size 2-12 people.
Minimum price for a private tour is €300.

June-August (Sometimes from May) 2-3h

Difficulty and Compatibility

Easy to moderate level depending on the wind and waves – 7km, basic balance for kayaking is needed. Suitable also for beginners and from the age of 12. We only have single kayaks.

In case the wind is too strong and waves too high then the tour will take place on the beautiful Pirita river, a jungle filled with bird song, but still inside the city border. In that case, the start and finish are at the same location.

How to Prepare?

Comfortable clothes according to the  weather and a bottle of water. Eat at least an hour before the tour to prevent low blood sugar. We provide dry suits, so you will be dry (besides the head) even if you go upside down 🙂  Come as you are!
